The Charlestown Militia Company

Welcome to the Charlestown Militia Company, Inc. web site.  As a private not for profit corporation, our mission is to re enact Gardner's Regiment and the Woburn Militia, provide education to the public regarding 18th Century life, the Battle of Bunker Hill and life in Boston during the Revolutionary War.

 As re enactors we strive to provide an accurate image of the 18th Century and are continually researching and educating ourselves so that we might excite a thirst for learning in others and honor those who sacrificed so much to provide us with the freedoms we enjoy today.

 So we hope you will enjoy this web site. Don't hesitate to contact us for information or to make any comments you'd like. Please also consider joining us in the hobby of historic re enacting.  We are always ready to recruit new members to our ranks - men and women - young and old.  There is a place for everyone. The more we learn about the American Revolutionary War, the more we realize that those who fought and supported the war truly came from all backgrounds and all walks of life.

 At the left, members of the Charlestown Militia, Gardner'sRegiment, assemble at the Bunker Hill Monument to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Joseph Warren, killed in action at the Battle of Bunker Hill. This was the first of what will now be an annual event. 

 Gardner's Regiment and the Woburn Militia have been a guest  of events at several towns in Massachusetts.  Below they are firing a round at the Townsend 275th Anniversary Parade. For a complete listing of other events we have attended click on the "Campaign" buttons to your right.
